Identity in the Novels of Isabel Allende and Cristina García
Abstract:
This work investigates selected works of Isabel Allende and Cristina García from the point of view of identity. In order to achieve an intersectional perspective on the topic, multiple lenses are applied in the analysis, primarily the lenses of ethnicity, gender, and class. In addition, recurring features are explored, for example the strong presence of storytelling across the novels in question.Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá vybranými romány Isabel Allende a Cristiny García z úhlu pohledu identity. V potaz se berou různá hlediska, primárně etnicita, gender, a třída, jejichž začlenění má za cíl umožnit analýzu identity z intersekcionální perspektivy. Kromě toho jsou zkoumány opakovaně se objevující prvky, jako například výrazná role vypravěčství ve všech analyzovaných dílech.
