Revitalisation of center of towns - overcoming problems and solution opportunities

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce řeší problematiku revitalizace měst, s důrazem na malá města. Práci jsem rozdělil na část teoretickou a praktickou. Cílem teoretické části bylo stanovit a popsat aktuální problémové oblasti vývoje malých měst v České republice, stanovení inovativních řešení městských výzev s ohledem na evropská města budoucnosti a přiblížení problematiky modernizace a revitalizace měst západních států Evropské unie v kontextu České republiky. V praktické části je proveden kvantitativní výzkum týkající se revitalizace města Plasy a je zde také zpracovaná SWOT analýza rozvoje města a zhodnocení jeho strategických cílů a rozvoje.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis addresses the issue of urban revitalization, with emphasis on small towns. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part aimed to determine and describe the current problem areas of small-town development in the Czech Republic, to determine innovative solutions to urban challenges concerning European cities of the future, and to approach the modernization and revitalization of Western European cities in the context of the Czech Republic. In the practical part, quantitative research concerning the revitalization of the city of Plasy is performed and there is also a SWOT analysis of the development of the city and an evaluation of its strategic goals and development.
