Aspects of Critical Posthumanism in Transition Design Methods

Anotácia:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje aspektům kritického posthumanismu v metodách tranzitivního designu, které čerpá z případových studií tranzitivního designu. Práce se dělí na teoretickou a analytickou část. V teoretické části se věnuje základním charakteristikám kritického posthumanismu a tranzitivního designu. Jejich vzájemným průnikům a odlišnostem, ze kterých stanovuje kategorie pro analytickou část. V analytické části aplikuje kategorie na vybrané případové studie a porovnává, jak se každá z nich pojí s kritickým posthumanismem. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je popis a analýza tranzitivního designu a kritického posthumanismu a hledání jejich průniku v jednotlivých metodách, tedy stanovení kategorií, které určují, jaké metody jsou vhodné pro posthumanistický designový proces.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the aspects of critical posthumanism in transitive design methods, drawing from case studies of transitive design. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and analytical part. The theoretical part explores the fundamental characteristics of critical posthumanism and transitive design, examining their intersections and differences to establish categories for the analytical part. In the analytical part, these categories are applied to selected case studies to compare how each of them relates to critical posthumanism. The main goal of the thesis is to describe and analyse transitive design and critical posthumanism, while seeking their intersection in various methods. This involves establishing categories that determine which methods are suitable for the posthumanism design process.
