The EU Development Policy in Africa

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je analyzovat rozvojovou politiku EU v afrických zemích z hlediska vývoje, aspektů a nástrojů, přičemž důraz bude kladen na rozbor pozitivních či negativních dopadů rozvojové politiky a rovněž z nich vyplývajících nových možností směřování nebo řešení současných problémů. Cíle práce je po stránce metodologické dosaženo obsahovou analýzou dokumentů a také následnou komparací teoretických koncepcí. V první teoretické části práce autor pomocí obsahové analýzy dokumentů představí jednotlivé aspekty, nástroje, výsledky a vize rozvojové politiky Evropské unie a také stanoví výzkumná kritéria pro komparaci. V rámci této části práce bude reflektována také pozice ČR v rozvojové pomoci EU. V druhé empirické části práce budou zjištěné poznatky komparovány s myšlenkami předních světových odborníků na rozvojovou problematiku či s koncepcemi mezinárodních organizací, přičemž na konci práce autor neopomene rozvést zjištěné výzkumné výsledky a rovněž je konfrontovat s reálným stavem věci.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to research the EU development policy in African countries from the point of view of: historical development, various aspects and instruments of policies. The thesis will focus on the analysis of positive or negative impacts on development policy, and also on the new ways or solutions of current problems resulting from it. The methodological aim of the thesis is divided into the content analysis of the documents and the comparison of the theoretical concepts. The author will introduce individual points, instruments, results and visions of the EU development policy on the basis of the content analysis of the documents, and he will also make selection criteria for the comparison in the first theoretical part of the thesis. In this part of the thesis, the author will describe the position of the Czech Republic within the EU development aid. In the second empirical part of the thesis, the author will compare processed data with the ideas of international specialists on development problems or with the concepts of international organizations. Furthermore, the author will explain the research results and compare these results with the present state of the issue.
