Our bachelor's thesis focuses on the status of women in the novels of Francophone Sub-Saharan African writers Mariama Bâ, Maryse Condé, and Dja?li Amadou Amal. In the analytical part, we will attempt to document how female characters reflect the social and cultural aspects influencing the status of women in Sub-Saharan society.
