The policy of Sigismund of Luxembourg towards the royal Bohemian cities in 1420-1437.

Abstract:

Práce na téma: "Politika Zikmunda Lucemburského vůči královským českým městům v letech 1420 - 1437" se zabývá přístupem panovníka vůči městům v době husitských válek. Toto období bylo poměrně pohnuté vzhledem k tomu, že bylo provázeno boji jak mezi husitskou a katolickou stranou, tak mezi jednotlivými utrakvistickými frakcemi. Proto musel být přístup Zikmunda Lucemburského vůči městům poměrně individuální. Práce má tento způsob čtenáři nejen ukázat, ale pokouší se i vysvětlit politiku vůči městům v kontextu doby. Právě proto bylo důležité rozdělit zkoumané období na dvě části. První část je delší a připadá na roky 1420-1434. V období války bylo třeba zohlednit specifický charakter rozdělených českých zemí. Naopak v letech 1434-1437 dochází ke snaze stabilizovat zemi a od toho se politika panovníka odrážela. Informace k tomuto výzkumu byly čerpány z pramenných edicí a aplikovány do kontextu dané doby.

Abstract:

The research work on the topic: "The policy of Sigismund of Luxembourg towards the royal Czech cities in the years 1420 - 1437" deals with the monarch's approach to the cities during the Hussite wars. This period was relatively turbulent, given the struggle between the Hussite and Catholic parties, as well as between the various factions. That is why, Sigismund of Luxembourg's approach to cities had to be relatively specific. The work not only shows the reader this way, but also tries to explain policy to cities in the context of the time. That is why it was important to divide the period under study into two parts. The first part is longer and is located between 1420-1434. During the war, it was necessary to take into account the specific character of the divided Czech lands. On the contrary, in the years 1434-1437, an effort was made to stabilize the country, and the monarch's policy was reflected in this. The information for this research were taken from source editions and applied to the context of the time.
