Analysis of Business Development Strategy and its Impact on Share Price

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na posouzení vlivu kroků provedených v rámci business development strategie na hodnotu společnosti (cenu akcií).V teoretické části je nejdříve popsána problematika oceňování společností, poté je vysvětlen pojem fundamentální analýzy akcií a nakonec jsou popsány možnosti tvorby business development strategií. Dále je popsáno odvětví a společnost, v rámci které bude analýza vlivů provedena. V praktické části je nejdříve popsán proces sběru, třídění a kategorizace dat, která obsahují informace o krocích provedených v rámci business development strategií. Dále jsou data podrobně analyzována na základě různých charakteristik za pomoci kontingenčních tabulek a grafů v MS Excel. Dále je změřen vliv jednotlivých kroků pomocí změny ceny akcií ve stanoveném časovém intervalu. Nakonec jsou výsledky interpretovány za pomoci grafů a tabulek. Hlavním výstupem této práce bylo získání informací o tom, jaký vliv mají jednotlivé kroky business development strategií na hodnotu společnosti (cenu akcií).

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on evaluation of the influence that different steps made within business development strategy have on company value (share price). In the theory part, first different company valuation methods are described, then the problematic of fundamental stock analysis is explained and finally the forming process of business development strategy is described. Next the industry and the company on which the influence analysis have been made are characterized. The practical part is first explaining the process of data collection, sorting and categorization (this data contains information about steps made within the business development strategy). After that, an analysis of the data based on different attributes is made and the influence of particular steps is measured by change in stock price in defined time frame. Finally the results are interpreted using charts and tables. The main outcome of this thesis is the extraction of the information about the influence of different steps made within the business development strategy on company value (share price).
