Guide activities in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce řeší průvodcovskou činnost v České republice. Cílem této práce je vytvoření návrhů změn v oblasti výkonu průvodcovské činnosti na základě analýzy nabídky v tomto sektoru. Bakalářská práce zabývá analýzou současného stavu průvodcovské činnosti, především legislativních předpisů a praxe. Na výzkum a nalezení řešení k probíraným problematikám byly použity tři metody, jimiž jsou PEST analýza, Porterův model pěti sil a dotazníkové šetření. Předmětem zkoumání je zejména legislativa, s ní související problematika současné poměrně liberální úpravy živnostenského zákona, její vliv na kvalitu průvodců, dopad nekvalifikovaných průvodců na pověst ČR v zahraničí a certifikace a vzdělávání průvodců. V návrhové části byly vypracovány možnosti, jak kvalitu průvodcovských služeb na našem území vylepšit.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with guide activities in the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is to make suggestions for changes in the field of guiding activities based on an analysis of the offer in this sector. The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the current state of guide activities, especially legislative regulations and practice. For research and in order to find solutions to discussed issues were used three methods, such as PEST analysis, Porter's model of five forces, and questionnaire survey. The subject of the examination is mainly the legislation, the related issues of the current relatively liberal regulation of the Trade Licensing Act, its influence on the quality of guides, the impact of unqualified guides on the reputation of the Czech Republic as a destinantion in foreign countries, and the certification and training of guides. In the final part of the thesis were developed possibilities to improve the quality of guide services in the Czech Republic.
