Comparison of the content of British and Czech women's periodicals at the end of the 19th century.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá rozdíly mezi ženskými hnutími ve Velké Británii a českých zemích za použití ženských periodik příslušných zemí. Zabývá se tak v období 80. a 90. let 19. století. Postihuje jak se lišil vývoj ženských hnutí v těchto zemích, jakým způsobem periodika fungovala, co publikovala a jaký byl rozdíl ve smýšlení nad společenskými problémy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis analyzes the differences between women's emancipation movements in Great Britain and the Czech lands using the most prominent periodicals of the time from both of the countries between 1880 and 1900. It compares the differences between the evolution of the movements, the way in which the periodicals worked, what they publisehd and what was the difference between the thinking about social problems.
