Rehabilitation using visual and auditory stimulation in patients with Parkinson´s disease: efficiency and effectiveness.

Abstract:

balance, sensory stimulation. Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disease of unknown etiology affecting neuronal cells which produce and secrete dopamine. The patient has a variety of symptoms, postural and cognitive engines. Typically has difficulty in ambulation with marcia characterized by reduced length of step (small steps), reduced or absent commuting of AASS and episodes of Freezing, especially in changes of direction, passing through tight spaces or in presence of obstacles. The rehabilitation treatment of the subject with Pd usually deals with the prevention of secondary and tertiary damage, then the problems not directly caused by the primary pathology, but by reducing movement and general physical activity. Currently, physical therapy in Parkinson 's, having unknown etiology, has scientific evidence on its effectiveness still limited. For this it uses various approaches like relaxation and muscle stretching, posture correction (with particular attention to asymmetries), passive and active mobilization, breathing exercises and control of emotional tension.

E CHIAVE: Parkinson, passo, equilibrio, stimoli sensoriali. Il Morbo di Parkinson č un malattia degenerativa a eziologia ignota che interessa le cellule neuronali che producono e secernono dopamina. Il paziente affetto presenta una varietŕ di sintomi motori, posturali e cognitivi. Tipicamente si presenta difficoltŕ nella deambulazione con marcia caratterizzata da ridotta lunghezza del passo (passi piccoli), ridotto o assente pendolarismo degli AASS e episodi di Freezing (congelamento) soprattutto nei cambi di direzione, nel passaggio attraverso spazi stretti o in presenza di ostacoli. Il trattamento riabilitativo del soggetto con Parkinson solitamente si occupa della prevenzione di danni secondari e terziari, cioč delle problematiche non direttamente causate dalla patologia primaria, ma dalla riduzione del movimento e dell? attivitŕ fisica generale.
