Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou digital divide. Představuje a kategorizuje přístupy jak vědecké, tak politické, které měly vliv na výzkum tématu a které zasáhly do teoretického zarámování problému. Hlavní důraz je kladen na vědecké teorie a výzkumy z posledních několika let, které kriticky pohlížejí na předchozí konceptualizace a snaží se řešit jejich nedostatky. Cílem práce je systematizovat a sloučit prozatím roztříštěné poznatky této kritické diskuse do širokého konceptu a umožnit tak opravdu komplexní pohled na celou problematiku.

Abstract:

This study deals with a theory of so called digital divide. It presents and categorises past academic and political discussions with impact on the theoretical framing of the issue. The paper emphasises new academic theories from the past several years that criticise on previous conceptualizations and try to solve it´s problems. Main objective of this work is to systematise and synthetize presently fragmented findings of this critical discussion into a complex concept and so provide a really complex framework of the whole issue.
