Práce pojednává o dvou románech současných kanadských autorek: Surfacing spisovatelky Margaret Atwood, který byl vydán v roce 1972, a Wild Stone Heart: An Apprentice in the Fields Sharon Butaly, publikovaném v roce 2000. Abstract:
The thesis elaborates on two novels by contemporary Canadian female writers: Margaret Atwood’s Surfacing, published in 1972, as well as Sharon Butala’s Wild Stone Heart: An Apprentice in the Fields, published in 2000. Crucial to both novels is the protagonists’ searching for their identity as women and Canadians, portrayed by the authors by means of writing in the ecofeminist spirit. The thesis also …more
