Asylum and Migration Policy of the Czech republic

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá azylovou a migrační politikou České republiky, přičemž důraz je kladen na problematiku azylu. Teoretická část popisuje migraci v ČR, její vývoj a právní postavení cizinců. Další část charakterizuje ochranu uprchlíků na mezinárodní úrovni a samotnou azylovou politiku v České republice, zejména její vývoj, aktéry, právní úpravu, azylovou proceduru a azylová zařízení. V závěru teoretické části je ještě stručně shrnuta azylová politika Evropské unie, především její vývoj a nejvýznamnější právní normy. Praktická část analyzuje vybrané pobytové středisko a aktivity některých nevládních organizací pracujících s uprchlíky a následně je uvedeno hodnocení azylové politiky orgány státní i nestátní sféry. Závěr pak shrnuje azylovou politiku a mé stanoviska.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is dealing with the asylum and migration policy of the Czech republic whereas the accent is put on asylum sphere. Theoretical part of the diploma thesis describes migration in the Czech republic, its history and legal status of the foreigners. The following part characterise the protection of the refugees at the international level and asylum policy in the Czech republic, especially its history, persons involved, legal regulations, asylum procedure and asylum facility. At the close of the theoretical part asylum policy of Euro-pean Union is briefly summarized, especially its history and the most important legal rules. Practical part analyse chosen asylum facility and the activities of some non-governmental organizations dealing with the refugees, then evaluation of the asylum policy by state or-gans and non-governmental organizations follows. The conclusion summarize the asylum policy and my attitude.
