Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Pojetí kami zejména v západní odborné literatuře“ se zabývá reflexí pojmu kami v soudobé odborné literatuře dostupné v angličtině a češtině a srovnáním jeho definic přístupů k němu. Zasazuje jej do kontextu tradice šintó, a do širšího kontextu náboženství v Japonsku, v rámci popisu historického vývoje tradice šintó nastiňuje proměny významu slova kami v průběhu doby. Pojem kami je představen na základě definic západních i japonských autorů a je otevřena otázka jeho etymologie a typologie

Abstract:

Diploma thesis „The Interpretation of Kami Especially in the Western Scientific Literature“ deals with reflexion of the term kami in present day scientific literature available in English and Czech, and with comparison of approaches and definitions of the term. The term kami is put into a context of Shinto tradition and into a broader context of the religion of Japan. In a framework of the description of changes of Shinto there are depicted changes of the meaning of the word kami in the course of the time. The term kami is presented on the background of definitions of Western and Japanese scholars, and there is also opened the question of ethymology of the word kami and the typology of the term.
