Tatra Kopřivnice – transformation of old industrial structures

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma Tatra Kopřivnice – přeměna starých industriálních struktur se zabývá řešením brownfields s důrazem na možnosti uplatnění industriálních struktur v organismu města.Literární rešerše vypracována na dané téma ukazuje na důležitost industriálu při utváření identity a genia loci města. Dále nabízí pohled na možnosti uplatnění jednotlivých industriálních struktur ve veřejném prostředí.Na základě analytické části je zpracována architektonická studie modelového území – brownfield nárazníkové zóny areálu Tatra v Kopřivnici. Návrh čerpá poznatky z literární rešerše.Cílem architektonické studie je ukázat, že ze špatně prostupné bariéry okrajové části areálu Tatra může vzniknout kvalitní veřejný prostor s jedinečným industriálním duchem místa

Abstract:

The diploma thesis Tatra Kopřivnice – transformation of old industrial structures focuses on the solution of brownfields with emphasis on the possibilities of using the industrial structures in the town.The literature overview prepared on this topic shows the importance of industrial places in shaping the identity and genius loci of the town. It also offers an insight into possibilities of using individual industrial structures in the public enviroment.Analytical part of this thesis is used as a base for architectural study of the model area – brownfield buffer zone of the Tatra complex in Kopřivnice. This study is also based on the literary research.The architectural study tries to show that a poorly accessible peripheral part of the Tatra complex can be transformed into quality public area with a unique industrial spirit
