The bachelor thesis deals with the description and comparison of the passive voice in English and Czech language. The thesis is divided into two parts. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá popisem a srovnáním trpného rodu v anglickém a českém jazyce. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. Cílem teoretické části je popsat tvoření a funkce trpného rodu v angličtině a češtině, s hledem na jeho užití v odborném stylu.
