Propagation of Paeonia suffruticosa in in vitro conditions

Abstract:

Metoda rostlinných explantátů je bezesporu klíčovým způsobem pěstování budoucnosti, rostliny takto pěstované by proto mohly mít velmi vysoký potenciál z hlediska jednoduššího pěstování, rychlosti a úspěšnosti. Samozřejmě s přihlédnutím k finanční náročnosti na metodu in vitro. Zejména pak dřevité pivoňky, které pro složitý a zdlouhavý proces pěstování téměř vymizely z trhu. Proto byl založen pokus, který měl zvládnout těžkosti se založením kultur Paeonia sufruticosa Andr., zejména s odbouráním vyloučených fenolických látek za přidání antioxidačních činidel, kyseliny citronové a askorbové, a volby vhodných médií ke kultivaci (Quoirin & Levoipre, 1977; WPM Lloyd & McCown, 1980). Bohužel se založený experiment nesetkal s úspěchem z důvodu postupného odumírání všech založených explantátů, ať již z důvodu kontaminantů nebo právě odumřením kvůli vylučování toxických exsudátů.

Abstract:

The method of tissues plant culture is exactly a key way of growing in the future, so plants grown in this way could have a very high potential in terms of easier cultivation, speed and success in general. Of course with taking into account the financial demands of the in vitro method. Especially the woody peonies, which have almost disappeared from the market due to the complicated and tedious cutivation proces. Therefore, an experiment was set up to cope with the difficulties of establishing culture of Paeonia sufruticosa Andr., in particular with the prevention of excreted phenolics with antioxidants, citric acid and ascorbic acid, and the choice of suitable culture media (Quoirin & Levoipre, 1977; WPM Lloyd & McCown, 1980). Unfortunately, the established expertiment was not successful due to the gradual death of all established explants, either due to contaminants or just death due to the excretion of toxic exudates.
