Quality of wome's life with stress urinary incontinence

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jaká je kvalita života žen se stresovou inkontinencí moči před operací pomocí implantace TOT pásky (Trans Obturator Tape transobturatorní páska) a kvalita života žen po implantaci TOT pásky pod močovou trubici. Metodika: Do souboru pro průzkumné šetření bylo zařazeno 58 žen ve věkové kategorii 48-66 let se stresovou inkontinencí moči. Dotazníkové šetření (květen 2009 únor 2010) bylo realizováno standardizovaným dotazníkem I-QoL ? Incontinence - Quality of Life Questionnaire (dotazník kvality života) autora Wagnera et al. (1996). Podle daného vzorce byla procentuálně vyhodnocena kvalita života žen se stresovou inkontinencí moči. Výsledky: Šetřením bylo zjištěno, že kvalita života žen se stresovou inkontinencí moči před implantací TOT pásky a po operaci touto metodou je rozdílná. Ženy po operaci pomocí implantace TOT pásky vykazují lepší kvalitu života. Dále bylo zjištěno, že nejvíce žen ze sledovaného souboru se stresovou inkontinencí rodilo dvakrát. Svalové dno pánevní posilují více ženy před operací a nejvíce informací o možnosti léčby pomocí implantace TOT pásky získaly od gynekologa. Pocit nedokonalého zdraví v souvislosti s inkontinencí moči zažívá před operací 7 z 35 respondentek a po operaci pouze 1 žena z 23 dotázaných. Do sexuálního života únik moči ženám se stresovou inkontinencí před operací výrazně nezasahuje, ženy po operaci vykazují v této otázce lepší kvalitu života. Závěr: Stresová inkontinence moči u žen je symptom dobře léčitelný a zbytečně snižující kvalitu života. Detabuizace problému s únikem moči, aktivní vyhledávání onemocnění a široká osvěta mohou výrazně přispět ke zlepšení života těchto žen v bio-psycho-sociální oblasti.

Abstract:

Objective: The objective was to ascertain the quality of life of women with stress incontinence before and after an implantation of the TOT (Trans Obturator Tape). Methods: To file for an exploratory investigation by 58 women in the age group 48 66 years with stress urinary incontinence. Interview Survey (May 2009 February 2010) was implemented in a standardized questionnaire I-QoL ? Incontinence - Quality of Life Questionnaire by Wagner et al. (1996). The quality of life was measured as a percentage and determined against a formula to measure all women with stress urinary incontinence. Results: The investigation revealed that the quality of life of women with stress incontinence before and after the implantation of the Transobturator Tape differed. The quality of life improved for those women who had undergone surgery to implant a TOT. It was also determined that the majority of women in this survey had given birth at least twice in their lifetime. The majority of women who had participated in pelvic floor muscle exercise had not yet undergone surgery. The women confirmed that most of the information regarding the option of TOT surgery they had received was from Gynecologists. Seven out of 35 participants did not feel completely healthy before the surgery, while after surgery only 1 out of 23 confirmed this. It was determined that urine leakage does not affect the sex lives of women with stress incontinence, however it was generally agreed that sex life does improve after surgery. Conclusion: Stress incontinence is a condition that can be easily treated and because of this unnecessarily reduces the quality of life for women suffering the symptoms. Coming to terms and acknowledging the problems associated with urine leakage, broadening the education on the subject can significantly improve the awareness of women in the bio-psycho-social field.
