The dual quality of food

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce obsahuje analýzu problematiky týkající se dvojí kvality potravin. Dvojí kvalita potravin je téma hýbající politikou a týkající se životů spotřebitelů – voličů. Práce poskytuje její definici, dále definici kvality jako klíčového pojmu, vztahu mezi cenou a kvalitou a vnímání spotřebitelem – voličem. Dále ji analyzuje z politické, s ohledem na volby do Evropského parlamentu v roce 2019, ekonomické, úspora nákladů, asymetrie informací, oportunistické chování, teorie spotřebitele, a etické stránky s přihlédnutím na etický kodex SOCR. Další důležitou částí je souhrn legislativního rámce na evropské, a hlavně české úrovni s klíčovou částí novely zákona o potravinách a tabákových výrobcích. Praktická část této práce obsahuje výzkum kvality potravin v řetězci Kaufland na českém a německém trhu a dále dotazníkové šetření, které slouží jako dodatečný zdroj informací s ohledem na zaměření práce. Práce poskytuje souhrn aktuální situace v roce 2020 a návrh jejího možného řešení.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis contains an analysis of issues related to the dual quality of food. The dual quality of food is a policy-driven issue concerning the lives of consumers - voters. The work provides its definition, as well as the definition of quality as a key term, the relationship between price and quality and the perception of the consumer - the voter. It further analyses it from a political, with a view to the 2019 European Parliament elections, economic, cost savings, information asymmetry, opportunistic behavior, consumer theory, and ethical aspects, taking into account the SOCR Code of Ethics. Another important part is a summary of the legislative framework at the European, and especially the Czech level with a key part of the amendment to the Act on Food and Tobacco Products. The practical part of this work contains research on food quality in the Kaufland chain on the Czech and German markets, as well as a questionnaire survey, which serves as an additional source of information with regard to the focus of the work. The work provides a summary of the current situation in 2020 and a proposal for its possible solution.
