In 1919 the constitution of the Weimar Republic (1918-1933) guaranteed German women, for the first time, equal rights before the law. In this period, a number of female writers produced novels addressing the specific problems concerning women. Autorka předkládané práce se zaměřuje na analýzu představitelek nové ženy v prozaistické tvorbě nejvýznamnějších a nejúspěšnějších reprezentantek literatury Výmarské republiky - Vicki Baum, Irmgard Keun a Marieluise Fleißer.
