EEG/ERP portal and semantic web resources

Abstract:

Portál umožňuje skupinám výzkumníků ukládat, aktualizovat, stahovat data a metadata z EEG/ERP experimentů naměřených v naší i ostatních laboratořích. Přístup do databáze je přes webové rozhraní. Portál je napsán v jazyce Java a používá frameworky Spring MVC, Spring Security a technologii JSP . Datová vrstva pracuje s neuroinformatickou databází na systému Oracle 11g a objektově relační mapování zajišťuje framework Hibernate. Tato práce popisuje principy sémantického webu. Další část práce obsahuje analýzu vybraných INCF národní uzlů. Dále tato práce obsahuje postup registrace našeho portálu jako neuroinformatického zdroje na vybraném NIF portálu, aby byl přístupný všem laboratořím řešících stejnou problematiku. Práce popisuje analýzu a integraci softwarových nástrojů na EEG/ERP portál. Tyto nástroje, vytvořené na Katedře informatiky a výpočetní techniky, slouží k transformaci EEG/ERP experimentů do prostředků sémantického webu (RDF, OWL ontologie).

Abstract:

EEG/ERP portal is a web application that is used to store, update, download and search data and metadata from EEG/ERP experiments. The experiments are provided to all registered users. The system is based on three layer architecture (MVC pattern) consisting of persistence layer (Oracle database, Hibernate framework are used), application layer (Spring technology is used) and presentation layer (JSP technology is used). This thesis describes the principles of the Semantic Web. The next part of thesis contains an analysis of selected INCF national nodes. There is also a description of the portal registration within NIF. Finally, the work includes the analysis and integration of software tools to EEG/ERP portal. These tools, created at Department of Computer Science and Engineering, serve for transformation of EEG/ERP experiments to Semantic Web resources (RDF, OWL ontology).
