Requirements for the creation and distribution of fine arts in the Ostrava region during the normalization period

Abstract:

Práce zpracovává problematiku politických, spolec?enských a regionálních aspektu?, které ovlivn?ovaly výtvarníky na Ostravsku. Hodnotí tehdejší možnosti pro odbyt a distribuci výtvarného ume?ní. Jsou pr?ipomenuty názvy a pu?sobnosti tehdejších úr?adu?. Je uvedeno zne?ní zákonu?, vyhlášek a cenzurních systému?, které omezovaly výtvarnou tvorbu. Jsou popsány procesy pro pr?íjem c?lenu? do svazu? výtvarných ume?lcu? a C?eského fondu výtvarných ume?ní. Práce demonstruje pr?íklady vzniku nebo zániku ume?lecké tvorby na Ostravsku zdoby normalizace. Souc?asná doba nám stále umožňuje oslovit pame?tníky, kter?í tenkrát výtvarné ume?ní tvor?ili nebo se podíleli na jeho distribuci, pr?ípadne? me?li pravomoci ho jakýmkoliv zpu?sobem ovlivn?ovat. Pro pochopení vývoje ostravského tvu?rc?ího prostr?edí je nezbytné pr?edstavit ho od jeho poc?átku? vc?etne? chronologického vývoje ume?leckých svazu? a fondu? du?ležitých pro profesní život výtvarníka.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issue of political, social and regional aspects that influenced artists in the Ostrava region. It evaluates the possibilities for the sale and distribution of fine arts at the time. The names and powers of the state authorities are recalled. As well as are the laws, decrees and censorship systems that restricted artists' creations. The processes of admitting members to the Unions of Fine Artists and the Czech Fund of Fine Arts are described. The thesis demonstrates examples of the emergence and disappearance of artistic creation in the Ostrava region in the normalization period. In the present, it is still possible to interview witnesses who themselves created fine art at the time, participated in its distribution, or had a power to influence the processes in any way. In order to understand the development of Ostrava's artistic environment, it is necessary to introduce it from its beginnings, describing the chronological development of art unions and fine arts funds important for the professional life of an artist.
