Comparison of the preparation of financial statements under Austrian and Czech law

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je zpracování problematiky sestavení účetní závěrky dle požadavků rakouského práva. Cílem práce je komparace rakouských pravidel pro sestavení účetní závěrky s českou právní úpravou a následné poukázání na odlišnosti mezi nimi. V úvodní části práce je pozornost věnována převážně legislativnímu rámci obou zemí a následnému přiblížení typů obchodních společností. Praktická část diplomové práce se soustřeďuje na porovnání vybraných rozdílů na příkladu a jejich dopadů na účetní výkazy dle českých a rakouských předpisů.

Abstract:

The topic of this Master´s thesis is the preparation of financial statements according to the requirements of Austrian law. The aim of the thesis is to compare the Austrian rules for the preparation of financial statements with the Czech legislation and then to point out the differences between them. In the introductory part of the thesis, attention is mainly paid to the legislative framework of both countries and then to the types of companies. The practical part of the master thesis focuses on the comparison of selected differences in the example and their impact on the financial statements according to the Czech and Austrian regulations.
