Abstract:

Řešitel se zabývá aktivně problematikou průmyslového designu již 21 let. Od roku 2008 má vlastní designérskou praxi, ve které realizoval množství zakázek a realizací pro významné výrobce.Zpětnou vazbu mu přináší úspěšnost produktů s jeho designem na komerčním trhu a úspěšnost při získávání mezinárodních ocenění v oblasti designu. Klíčovou motivací pro psaní této práce byla snaha postihnout vztah designu a inovace, v současné době často skloňovaných a nadužívaných pojmů, jejichž souvislost je pro úspěšnou aplikaci na finální produkt zásadní. Řešitel si vytyčil konkrétní cíle, jedním z nich byl cíl navržení vlastní METODIKY „designu inovace“ za předpokladu, že design není věcí náhody, ale výsledkem série úkonů a kroků, které lze shrnout a metodicky popsat. Řešitel se zabýval významem pojmů produkt, inovace, design. Poté definoval hypotézy:H1 – Lze navrhnout metodiku designu inovace, která vede ke zlepšení vizuality.H2 – Navrženou metodiku designu inovace lze aplikovat na nábytek z hliníku.H3 – Navrženou metodiku designu inovace lze aplikovat i na ostatní výrobky.Díky předpokladu, že se designérský proces neřídí pouze kreativitou a není náhodný, ale je řiditelný a měřitelný, musí být logicky možné opakovaně metodicky postupovat. Designérský proces má tři pilíře, ze kterých vychází: věcný, časový, rozpočtový. Každý tento proces je rizikem pro všechny zúčastněné, zadavatel se vystavuje riziku zmaření své investice, ohrožení firmy – obchodně i reputačně, designer se vystavuje stejným rizikům jen v nižších absolutních částkách a konsekvencích. Proto je třeba všechny tyto tři pilíře hlídat, tím je designérský proces kontrolován a řízen. Autor práce navrhl METODIKU, její strukturu, a v samotné práci je dále uváděna pod pojmem „METODIKA“. Tuto METODIKU následně aplikoval na produkt „hliníková židle EDGE“ a během několika let také na další výrobky, které jsou v práci označeny jako případové studie. Výsledky těchto aplikací METODIKY pak podrobil mezinárodnímu srovnání v designérských soutěžích, kde došlo k ověření, zda výrobky navržené podle této metodiky uspějí.Byly potvrzeny všechny tři hypotézy, aplikací METODIKY designu inovace bylo prokazatelně dosaženo zlepšení vizuality vybraných produktů uvedených v případových studiích. Byl potvrzen pozitivní přínos METODIKY pro tvorbu nových produktů. Při neustálém vývoji technologií, především rozvoji CAD softwarů, které usnadňují práci designera, dochází ke zmenšování rozdílu mezi jednotlivými designy produktů. Přichází nová doba, která akcentuje důraz na značky –brandy. Ty se stávají nosičem designu, stylu, komunikace. Jednotlivé výrobky jsou inovovány stále v kratším časovém intervalu a stále silněji jsou také akcentována témata ekologie a udržitelnosti. Všechny tyto aspekty zvyšují potřebu metodického postupu při designu inovace.

Abstract:

The researcher has been actively dealing with the issue of industrial design for 21 years. Since 2008, he has had his own designer office in which he has realized a number of commissions and realizations for major manufacturers. The feedback comes with the success of the products with his design in the commercial market and success in winning international design awards. The key motivation for writing this work was trying to capture the relationship between design and innovation, currently often inflected and overused concepts, the connection of which is essential for successful use of the final product. The researcher has set specific goals, one of which was the Designing his own METHODOLOGY of “design of innovation”, provided that the design is not a matter of chance, but the result of a series of actions and steps that can be summarized and methodically described. The researcher has dealt with the meaning of the terms product, innovation, and design. He then defined hypotheses:H1 – It is possible to design the methodology of design of innovation, which leads to improved visuality. H2 – The proposed methodology of design of innovation can be applied to aluminum furniture. H3 – The proposed methodology of design of innovation can be applied to other products as well.Thanks to the assumption that the design process is not only ruled by creativity, it is not random, it is manageable and measurable, it must be logically possible to repeatedly proceed methodically. The design process has three pillars on which it is based – material, time and budgetary. Each of these processes is a risk for all involved, the client is exposed to the risk of ruining their investment, endangering the company – both commercially and reputably – the designer is exposed to the same risks only in lower, absolute amounts and consequences. Therefore, all three pillars need to be watched, this way the design process is controlled and managed. The author of the thesis proposed the METHODOLOGY, its structure and in the work itself, it is further referred to as the “METHODOLOGY”. He subsequently applied this METHODOLOGY to the product “EDGE Aluminum Chair” and within a few years also to other products, which are identified in the work as case studies. The results of these applications of the METHODOLOGY were then subjected to international peer review in design competitions where it was verified whether the products designed according to this methodology will succeed.All three hypotheses were confirmed, with the application of the METHODOLOGY of the design of innovation, the visuality of selected products listed in the case studies was demonstrably improved. The positive contribution of the METHODOLOGY for the creation of new products was confirmed. With the constant development of technologies, especially the development of the CAD software that facilitates the work of the designer, the difference between individual product designs is getting more reduced. A new era is coming that emphasizes the brands. The brands are becoming the carriers of design, style and communication. Individual products are being innovated in an ever shorter time interval, and the topics of ecology and sustainability are also being increasingly emphasized. All these aspects increase the need for a methodological approach in designing innovation.
