Diplomová práce zkoumá politické a ekonomické argumenty jednotlivých aktérů sporu o nezávislost Katalánska, k čemu využívá odbornou literaturu a tisk. Za použití diskurzivní analýzy hledá podobnosti a odlišnosti v názorech jednotlivých stran sporu, srovnává způsoby jejich argumentace, které následně vyhodnocuje.
