Adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis and their primary family

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá specifickou poruchou páteře, idiopatickou skoliózou. Teoretická část nabízí psychologické uchopení tohoto onemocnění, dále pojednává o roli rodiny pro zdravý psychosociální i somatický vývoj jedince. Cílem empirické části bylo popsat subjektivně prožívané fenomény v rámci primární rodiny v době vzniku idiopatické skoliózy. K tomu byla využita kvalitativní strategie výzkumu – fenomenologické zkoumání. Výzkumný soubor byl složen ze šesti respondentů, u nichž se tato porucha rozvinula v období adolescence. Analýza dat odkryla několik fenoménů, z nichž většina spadala do oblasti rodinné komunikace a interakce.

Abstract:

This work deals with a specific spine disorder, idiopathic scoliosis. The theoretical part offers the psychological grip of this disorder, discusses the role of the family for a healthy psychosocial and somatic development of the individual. The aim of the empirical part was to describe the subjectively experienced phenomena in the primary family at the time when the idiopathic scoliosis occurred. It was used a qualitative research strategy - phenomenological study. The research group was composed of six respondents to whom the disorder developed during adolescence. Data analysis revealed several phenomena, most of which fall within the field of family communication and interaction.
