Toxic Elements and Their Accumulation In Mushrooms

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zaměřit se na toxické prvky často se vyskytující v houbách. Je zde popsána jejich kumulace, hyperkumulace, absorpcce, sorbce, toxicita a koncentrace v houbách včetně metod stanovení. Práce zahrnuje systematické zařazení, charakteristiku, význam, složení a fyziologii hub. To je důležité pro pochopení, kde a v jakém množství se toxické prvky v organismech hub hromadí. Je zde zmíněna i toxicita způsobená prvky radioaktivními. Poslední kapitola popisuje metody stanovení toxických prvků včetně přípravy vzorků a způsobů mineralizace. Rovněž je uvedeno porovnání nejčastějších metod z hlediska citlivosti měření. Závěrem je zmíněn monitoring toxických prvků v průmyslově pěstovaných houbách během tříletého období. Tato práce by měla shrnovat základní znalosti o možné intoxikaci při časté konzumaci hub sbíraných ve znečištěném prostředí.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis was to focus on toxic ingredients often found in mushrooms. It consists of the description of their accumulation, hyper-accumulation, absorption, sorption, and toxicity levels in mushrooms including detection methods. The thesis contains the systematic classification, characteristics, significance, composition and physiology of fungi. This is important due to the understanding where and in what quantity toxic components accumulate in fungi. It also contains the toxicity caused by radioactive elements. The last chapter describes the methods to determine toxic elements including sample preparation and methods of mineralization. Also, the comparison of the most common methods in terms of sensitivity measurements is given. Finally, the monitoring of toxic elements in commercially-grown mushrooms over a three year period is given. This work should summarize the basic knowledge of possible intoxication while frequently consuming mushrooms collected in polluted environment.
