Fair Trade, it´s importance and applying in Czech Republic and countries of the European Union

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci je vysvětlen a popsán koncept Fair Trade neboli spravedlivého obchodu spolu s jeho základními cíli, principy a historickým vývojem. Dále byla zmapována distribuční síť Fair Trade produktů na českém a britském trhu. Je zde vypracována analýza přesného sortimentu nabízených výrobků ve vybraných obchodních řetězcích. Stěžejní část práce je zaměřena na výzkum znalostí a vztahů studentů středních škol ke spravedlivému obchodu, jak v Česku, tak ve Velké Británii. Na základě zjištěných informací byly navrženy možnosti, jak zlepšit povědomí konečných spotřebitelů o myšlence Fair Trade.

Abstract:

In the bachelor thesis the concept of Fair Trade together with its basic objectives, principles and historical development is explained and described. The distribution network of Fair Trade products in the Czech Republic and UK market was also mapped. There is also an analysis of the exact range of products in selected retail chains. The main part of the research focuses on knowledge and relationships of the high school students to fair trade, both in the Czech Republic and in Great Britain. Based on the information supplied we were able to identify ways of how to improve awareness of fair trade principles and practices to ultimate consumers.
