Abstract:

Tato práce, Dosavadní poznatky z bionomie a chování kosatky dravé (Orcinus orca) a jejich využití v chovu v zajetí, se zaměřuje na způsob života a dosavadní poznatky o těchto kytovcích. Dále se zabývá chovem, o který je snaha posledních 50 let. Obsahuje výčet zařízení, ve kterých se odehrály, pro toto téma, významné události, a kde jsou kosatky drženy. Shrnuje informace, z dostupných zdrojů o tom, jak ovlivňuje chov v zajetí přirozené chování, zdravotní stav a celkovou bionomii těchto živočichů.

Abstract:

In this paper, Current knowledge of bionomy and behaviour of Orcinus orca and it’ s usage in entertainment industry and breeding, is mainly focused on the way of life and up-to-date information about these animals in general. Is also sums up the facilities where are orcas currently being held and what does the life look like in those, for them. Eventually, it compares conditions of orcas in captivity with those in the natural habitat and what are the effects of captivity in physical and mental health of these animals.
