Obsahem této práce je popis estetických pravidel užívaných při vytváření státních vlajek, jejich historický vývoj a zamyšlení nad tím, co vývoj vlajek ovlivňovalo či inspirovalo, či naopak kdy vlajky samy posloužily jako zdroj inspirace. The focus of this thesis is the definition of aesthetical rules, which are used when creating the national flags, their historical evolution and an exposition of the sources of influence or inspiration for flags (or flags themselves as the sources of inspiration).
