Polymer composites for cable systems with high resistance

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku elektroizolačních materiálů používaných v kabelových systémech. Primárně se práce zabývá vlivem plniv, které zlepšují odolnost těchto materiálů, především jejich teplotní stabilitu a reakci na vznik ohně nebo jeho působení. V teoretické části jsou popsány používané polymerní materiály a způsob výroby polymerních kompozitů, především s retardéry hoření. Experimentální část práce je zaměřena na hodnocení změn dielektrických, termických a mechanických vlastností, které jsou vyvolané přidáním retardéru hoření přírodního původu. V rámci práce se konkrétně jedná o jílový materiál na bázi hlinitokřemičitanu, který je přidán do polyethylenu a kabelové směsi již obsahující jiný retardér hoření. Z analýz vyplývá, že začleňování jílových materiálů má příznivý vliv na termické vlastnosti. Zároveň dochází ke zhoršení mechanických a dielektrických parametrů. Také je provedeno porovnání měřených parametrů pro polyethylen a kabelovou směs obsahující konvenční retardér hoření, kdy se výsledky výrazně liší podle měřené vlastnosti.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focused on the issue of electrical insulating materials used in cable systems. Primarily, the thesis deals with the influence of fillers that improve the resistance of these materials, especially their thermal stability and reaction to the appearance of fire or his effect. The theorical part describe polymer materials and the technology of production of polymer composites, primarily with flame retardants. The experimental part of thesis is focused on evaluation of changes in dielectric, thermal and mechanical parameters which are caused by the addition of a flame retardant with natural origin. The work specifically deals with clay material based on aluminosilicate added into polyethylene and cable mixture already containing another flame retardant. Analysis shows that the incorporation of clay material affects positively thermal properties, but at the same time there is a deterioration in mechanical and dielectric parameters. The comparison of the measured parameters for polyethylene and cable mixture containing a conventional flame retardant is also realized and the results are significantly different according to the measured parameter.
