Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Dluhová krize v Eurozóně“ je rozbor příčin vedoucích k dluhové krizi v Eurozóně, zhodnocení dosavadních opatření v případě vysoce zadlužených států Eurozóny a navržení možných řešení. Práce se skládá z pěti částí. První část je zaměřena na představení projektu Evropské hospodářské a měnové unie, teorie optimální měnové oblasti a role maastrichtských kritérií a Paktu stability a růstu v její architektuře. V druhé části jsou rozebrány hlavní globální příčiny dluhové krize v Eurozóně. Třetí a čtvrtá část je detailním rozborem událostí vedoucích k dluhové krizi na příkladu Řecka a Irska, učiněných dosavadních opatření a jejich zhodnocení. V poslední části jsou představena a zhodnocena doposud učiněná řešení a návrh nejvhodnějšího možného řešení problému v dlouhém období.

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis “Eurozone Debt Crisis” is to analyze the causes leading up to the Eurozone debt crisis, measures taken to save highly indebted members of the Eurozone and to propose possible solutions to the problem. The thesis consists of five parts. The first part is a theoretical introduction of the European Economic and Monetary Union, the optimal currency area and the role of the Maastricht convergence criteria and Stability Growth Pact in its architecture. The second part is an analysis of the main global causes of the European debt crisis. The third and fourth part is a detailed analysis of the events leading up to the debt crisis of two given member states, Greece and Ireland, the measures taken in order to improve the situation and the evaluation of the results. The final part is an overview and assessment of solutions already taken and a proposal of the best long-term solution to the crisis.
