Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zaměřuje na císařskou diplomacii ve velmi specifickém prostředí sasko-polského dvora v druhé polovině vlády Augusta II. Problematiku zkoumá skrze osoby císařských diplomatů, kterých působilo ve studovaných letech 1719-1733 u sasko-polského dvora celkem jedenáct. Při výzkumu byla využita primárně jejich korespondence s Vídní, která je uložená v rakouském státním archivu ve Vídni ve fondu Haus-, Hof- und Staatsarchiv. Práce se zabývá výběrem diplomatů, jejich přípravou na misi, ceremoniálem, analyzuje jejich korespondenční styky s Vídní a sleduje císařské strategie, které uplatňoval skrze své diplomaty. To vše je zasazeno do historického kontextu doby a ukazuje, jak všechno podléhalo změně pod vlivem aktuálních událostí.

Abstract:

The presented diploma thesis deals with imperial diplomacy in a very specific environment of the Saxon-Polish court in the second half of reign of Augustus II. The problems are examined through the persons of the imperial diplomats, who were eleven in the studied years 1719-1733 at the Saxony-Polish court. The research used primarily their correspondence with Vienna, which is deposited in the Austrian State Archive in Vienna, Haus-, Hof- und Staatsarchiv. The thesis deals with the selection of diplomats, their preparation for the mission, the ceremony, also analyzes their correspondence with Vienna and follows the imperial strategies that Charles VI. applied through his diplomats. All this is set in the historical context of the period and shows how everything was subject to change under the influence of current events.
