Criminal Law and Criminalistic Aspects of Social Engineering with a Context in Cybersecurity

Abstract:

Tato práce poskytuje komplexní pohled na problematiku kyberkriminality, sociálního inženýrství a poskytuje ucelenou analýzu trestněprávních a kriminálních aspektů tohoto fenoménu. Autorka se zabývá definicí sociálního inženýrství a jeho úlohou v kybernetickém prostředí, jakož i pojmy jako kyberprostor, počítačový systém a internet. Sociální inženýrství je klíčovým pojmem celé práce. Důležitou součástí práce je také zkoumání způsobů dokazování kybernetických trestných činů, specifik kybernetických a digitálních stop, které mohou být klíčové pro úspěšné vyšetřování. Praktická část obsahuje ukázky vzorových útoků, které slouží k ilustraci různých metod a strategií pachatelů. Celkově rigorózní práce představuje komplexní uchopení fenoménu sociálního inženýrství, jeho trestněprávních i kriminálních aspektů a může být využita jako významný příspěvek k pochopení, prevenci a následnému řešení kyberkriminality.

Abstract:

This work provides a complex view of the issue of cybercrime, social engineering and provides a complete analysis of the criminal and criminal aspects of this phenomenon. The author discusses the definition of social engineering and its role in the cyber environment, as well as concepts such as cyberspace, computer system and the Internet. Social engineering is a key concept throughout the thesis. An important part of the thesis is also an examination of the methods of proving cybercrime, the specifics of cyber and digital traces that can be essential to a successful investigation. The practical part includes examples of sample attacks that serve to illustrate the different methods and strategies.
