Cílem práce je vývoj systému pro správu metadat rozsáhlých databázových schémat v databázi Oracle, který bude součástí informačního systému Inet MU a zjednoduší práci správcům databáze a vývojářům tohoto systému. Hlavním důvodem pro jeho implementaci byl neústálý nárůst objemu dat, který je potřeba spravovat a je nutné mít přehled nad tím, co je v databázi uloženo.
