Insurance fraud

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou pojistných podvodů v České republice. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na vymezení základních pojmů, popisuje stručný vstup do odvětví pojištění osob, zaobírá se motivací k podvodu a přibližuje pojem operační riziko. Dále se věnuje členění pojistných podvodů dle různých hledisek a taktéž pojednává o současné a budoucí ochraně před pojistnými podvody. Praktická část bakalářské práce se zaměřuje na pojistné podvody v odvětví pojištění osob. Zabývá se analýzou vývoje podvodů v čase, predikcí pojistných podvodů pomocí regresního modelu v softwaru Gretl a v neposlední řadě i otázkou, zdali existuje závislost pojistných podvodů na vybraných makroekonomických ukazatelích.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of insurance fraud in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of basic concepts, provides a brief introduction to the personal insurance industry, deals with the motivation for fraud and explains the concept of operational risk. It also classifies insurance fraud according to various aspects and discusses the current and future protection against insurance fraud. The empirical part of the bachelor thesis focuses on insurance fraud in the personal insurance. Bachelor thesis analyses the development of fraud over time, the prediction of insurance fraud using the regression model in the Gretl software and, finally, the question of whether there is a correlation of insurance fraud on selected macroeconomic indicators.
