Development of communication skills at hearing children of deaf adults

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na komunikační schopnosti slyšících dětí neslyšících rodičů. Dělí se na dvě části – část teoretickou a část empirickou. V úvodu teoretické části se zabýváme kulturou, komunikací a vzděláváním neslyšících. Blíže je pak popsán pojem sluchové postižení. Další kapitoly jsou věnovány slyšícím dětem neslyšících rodičů a jejich vlivu na výchovu dětí. Jsou zde vysvětleny i pojmy bilingvismus a bikulturismus, které s tématem úzce souvisejí. V závěru teoretické části je zmíněn vývoj dítěte - konkrétněji pak psychomotorika, vývoj řeči a jazykové roviny v ontogenezi řeči. Empirická část je shrnuta ve čtvrté kapitole. Blíže popisuje samotné výzkumné šetření, jeho průběh i cíl. Popsány jsou použité metody výzkumu, kterými je analýza pasivní a aktivní slovní zásoby u slyšících dětí neslyšících rodičů, rozhovor s jejich maminkami a participované pozorování. Zmíněn je také výzkumný vzorek. V závěru lze nalézt odpovědi na výzkumné otázky a zhodnocení celého výzkumu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on communication skills of hearing children of deaf parents. This work is divided into two parts – theoretical and empirical. The beginning of the theretical part is dedicated to culture, communication and education of deaf people. There is also closely described a notion hearing impariment. Other chapters concern about hearing children of deaf parents and their influence on upbringing children. Terms such as bilingualism and bikulturalism are explained as they are closely related. At the end of the theoretical part there is mentioned a development of a child – specifically psychomotorics, development of speech and language level in speech ontogeny. The empirical part is summarized in the fourth chapter. The chapter describes the research itself, its course and the goal in more detail. There are also explained used methods for the research which are analysis of pasive and active vocabulary of hearing children from deaf parents, interviews with their mothers and participated observation. Also research sample is mentioned in this chapter. In conlusion there can be found answers for research questions and evaluation of the whole research.
