Design of an Application for Exporting Data to MS Word, Excel and PDF

Abstract:

V dnešní digitální době se zpracování a prezentace dat stalo nedílnou součástí mnoha pracovních procesů. Aplikace, které usnadňují přenos dat do šablon MS Word, Excel a PDF jsou žádané, protože umožňují uživatelům vytvářet dokumenty v kratším časovém úseku. Cílem práce bylo navržení mechanismu, který umožní uživatelům exportovat data do těchto formátů. Tato práce předkládá návrh funkcí a metod, které usnadní a zefektivní proces exportu dat z databázového systému do těchto formátů. Pro lepší představu je aplikace demonstrována na příkladu využití v rámci Autosalonu. Na základě funkční analýzy požadavků a případu užití byla s využitím technologie ASP.NET Core připravena aplikace. Pro manipulaci se šablonami byly využity knihovny Open XML SDK, EEPlus a iTextSharp. V neposlední řadě byla věnována pozornost zabezpečení aplikace.

Abstract:

In today's digital age, data processing and presentation has become an integral part of many work processes. Applications that facilitate the transfer of data to MS Word, Excel and PDF templates are in demand because they allow users to create documents in a shorter period of time. The goal of the work was to design a mechanism that would allow users to export data to these formats. This work presents the design of functions and methods that will facilitate and make the process of exporting data from the database system to these formats easier and more efficient. For a better idea, the application is demonstrated using an example of use within the Autosalon. Based on the functional analysis of the requirements and the use case, an application was prepared using ASP.NET Core technology. The Open XML SDK, EEPlus and iTextSharp libraries were used to manipulate the templates. Last but not least, attention was paid to the security of the application.
