The ability to understand vocables and collocations on the second grade of primary school

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce je provedení analýzy jazykových dovedností žáků druhého stupně základních škol. Pro představu, jaký je reálný současný stav těchto kompetencí u žáků vymezené věkové kategorie, poslouží údaje získané od vzorku této populace. Dotazníky byly předloženy k vyplnění žákům druhého stupně Základní školy Budkov. Konkrétní výsledky dosažené u vybrané skupiny budou sloužit k reflektování globálního charakteru dovedností žáků v rámci naší republiky. Cílem práce je zjistit, do jaké míry (popř. zdali vůbec) ovlivňují nabyté věcné znalosti žáků jejich schopnosti, správné jazykovědné uvažování a jazykové dovednosti při vyplňování dotazníku. Výsledky průzkumu budou konfrontovány s osobnostními preferencemi žáků a bude hledána souvislost mezi těmito dvěma skutečnostmi. Skupina dětí bude zkoumána nejen jako celek, ale bude také rozčleněna na menší segmenty. Podrobně budou rozpracovány výsledky úspěšnosti děvčat a chlapců. Práce se bude zaměřovat na porovnání dosažených výsledků mezi žáky jednotlivých tříd i skupin v rámci tříd (děvčata x chlapci). Závěry plynoucí z bakalářské práce budou důležitými ukazateli pro učitele na Základní škole Budkov. Učitelé díky výzkumu získají přehled o tom, v čem jsou konkrétní skupiny žáků nadprůměrné, průměrné či podprůměrné, a budou se tak moci zaměřit na stimulaci problematických oblastí potřebných kompetencí žáků. V práci bude použita metoda pedagogického dotazníku a komparativní metoda při interpretaci výsledků.

Abstract:

The subject of the bachelor’s work is an analysis of the language skills of junior school pupils. The data acquired from a sample of this population will give you an idea of the actual level of these skills in the pupils of the specified age category. The questionnaires were filled in by junior school pupils of Primary School Budkov. The tangible results reached with this selected group will serve to show the global character of pupils’ skills in this country. The aim of this work is to find out to what extent (or, if at all) the pupils’ acquired factual knowledge influences their abilities, their correct linguistic thinking and language skills while filling in the questionnaire. The results of the research will be compared with the pupils’ personal preferences, and a consequence between these two realities will be looked for. The group of children will not only be examined as a whole, but also it will be divided into smaller segments. The results of the success rate of both girls and boys will be elaborated in detail. The work will aim at a comparison of acquired results of individual classes as well as groups within the classes (girls vs. boys). The conclusions ensuing from the bachelor’s work will be important indicators for the teachers at Primary School Budkov. Thanks to the research, the teachers will gain an awareness of what the individual groups of pupils are above average, average or below average in, and, therefore, they will be able to concentrate on the stimulation of problematic areas of the skills necessary for the pupils. The pedagogical questionnaire method and the comparative method will be used for the interpretation of the results.
