Role of EGR-1 in FGF signaling in chondrocytes
Abstract:
Cílem této práce je determinace úlohy transkripčního faktoru Egr-1 v buňkách chrupavky v kontextu signalizace FGF. Signální dráha FGF může regulovat buněčnou proliferaci a diferenciaci, možná právě skrz transkripční faktor Egr-1. Aberantní signalizace FGF je pozorována u některých patologií, například dysplázií. Hlubší porozumění by tedy mohlo mít také terapeutický potenciál.
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to determine the role of transcription factor Egr-1 in chondrocytes in the context of FGF signalling. FGF signalling pathways can regulate cell proliferation or differentiation, perhaps mediated by transcription factor Egr-1. Aberrant FGF signalling is observed with some patologies like dysplasias. Therefore, deeper insight could lead to therapeutical potential.
