The present thesis deals with the English loanwords and their comparison in German and Czech. The introductory part defines terms such as language contact, loanword, foreign word and anglicism. Das zentrale Thema dieser Arbeit sind Anglizismen und ihr Vergleich in der deutschen und tschechischen Sprache. Einleitend werden Begriffe wie Sprachkontakt, Lehnwort, Fremdwort und Anglizismus definiert und abgegrenzt.
