Restoration of a glass mosaic with a seagull motif located at the lower station of the elevator to the Shepherds Wall in Děčín. Restoration of the stone mosaic Bird Family positioned in Lidická Street in Litomyšl. Technical photography in UV, IR radiation, and false colors.

Abstract:

Praktická část diplomové práce prezentuje komplexní restaurování dvou mozaik z rozdílných materiálů. Mozaiku na panelu z mačkaných skleněných kostek od Vladimíra Petráčka s názvem Racek, která byla umístěna ve spodní části vestibulu výtahu na Pastýřskou stěnu v Děčíně. Druhá mozaika byla zhotovena z kombinovaných druhů materiálů, je osazena na fasádě domu v ulici Lidická 913 v Litomyšli. Její autorkou je Ludmila Jandová. Teoretická část je zaměřena na vybrané techniky širokospektrální fotografie v UV-VIS-IR oblastech spektra realizované pomocí upraveného digitálního fotoaparátu, zvláště pak na UV a IR fotografii a tvorbu falešných barev.

Abstract:

The practical part of the diploma thesis introduces a complex restoration of two mosaics from different materials. First is a panel mosaic from pressed glass cubes called Seagull and created by Vladimír Petráček which is placed in the lower part of the elevator lobby to the Shepherd's Wall in Děčín. The second mosaic is made from combined types of materials and it is mounted on the house facade in the street Lidická 913 in Litomyšl. Its author is Ludmila Jandová. The theoretical part of my diploma thesis is focused on selected techniques of broad-spectrum photography in UV-VIS-IR regions of the spectrum and realized with the help of a modified digital camera, especially on UV and IR photography and on the creation of false colors.
