Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá talismany a pověrami s nimi spojenými, soustředí se na ty jež mají přinášet štěstí či splnit přání. Jejich historií, legendami, které doprovází jejich vznik, podmínkami a okolnostmi za kterých se dle pověstí stávají funkčními až po přeměnu jejich charakteru v současné době. Zatím co dříve byly talismany převážně vytvářeny podle konkrétních vzorců, nyní vznikají méně pracně a na více bezprostřední bázi. Práce se nezabývá spekulacemi, zda talismany mají či nemají jim přisuzovanou nadpřirozenou magickou moc, a tudíž jestli fungují či ne, pouze shrnuje známá fakta.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with talismans and superstitions associated with them, focusing on those that have led to happiness or to fulfill wishes. Their history, legends, accompanied by their origin, conditions and circumstances under which, according to rumors, become functional after the conversion of their character today. While earlier talismans were generally created by particular patterns, now are produced with less effort and more immediate basis. The work does not deal with speculations as to whether or not talismans have supernatural magical powers attributed to them, and therefore whether they work or not, it only summarizes known facts.
