Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je analyzovat české překlady vybraných povídek Bernarda Malamuda. Teoretická část práce tvoří základ pro samotnou analýzu a popisuje autorovu literární tvorbu a její specifické znaky - strukturu, styl, symbolické a tematické prvky, které se v povídkách opakují. Abstract:
The main aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze Czech translations of selected short stories by Bernard Malamud. The theoretical part provides a base for the actual analysis and describes the author's literary work and its main features - structure, style, symbolism, and themes which regularly appear in his short stories.
