Career versus Family - Young Women's Preferences in the Zlín Region

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou volby mladých žen ve Zlínském kraji mezi rodinou a kariérou. Teoretická část práce se věnuje rodině, jejímu vývoji, proměnám, typům a funkcím a gender rolím. Dále se zabývá kariérou, kariérovými typy, etapami vývoje a dvoukariérovým manželstvím, předkládá důvody volby mladých žen mezi rodinou a kariérou. Součástí teoretické části je také kapitola o rodině a sociální politice, která se zabývá dávkami státní sociální podpory a dávkami nemocenského pojištění. Praktická část bakalářské práce je tvořena kvantitativním výzkumem zjišťujícím formou dotazníkového šetření preference mladých žen a to mezi rodinou a kariérou. V závěru bakalářské práce jsou shrnuty poznatky získané z výzkumu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of young women in the Zlín region choosing between the family and the career. The theoretical part covers the family, its development, changes, types and functions and gender roles. Next, it deals with the concept of career, career types, development stages and dual-career marriages, and gives reasons why young women have to choose between the family and the career. Integrated in the theoretical part, there is also a chapter about family and social policy, which looks into state social support benefits and sickness insurance benefits. The practical part of the bachelor thesis contains quantitative research trying to establish through a survey the preferences of young women choosing between the family and the career. In conclusion, the bachelor thesis summarises the evidence obtained from the research.
