Process Optimisation Using Robotic Automation

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou robotické automatizace softwarových procesů ve vybrané společnosti. Práce je členěna do dvou základních celků - teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část se zabývá popisem jednotlivých průmyslových revolucí včetně novodobého fenoménu Průmysl 4.0 a definicí robotiky. Po objasnění pojmu robotické automatizace procesů jsou uvedeny způsoby identifikace vhodných procesů pro automatizaci, potenciální benefity, rizika a technologie (včetně jejich dodavatelů). Jsou zde také definovány základní modely pro tvorbu softwarových procesů. Praktická část je zaměřena na identifikaci a analýzu procesů ve vybrané společnosti. Pro konkrétní proces je navrženo robotické řešení, kterému předchází optimalizace procesu mimo jiné zvyšující jeho bezpečnost. V neposlední řadě je řešení ohodnoceno a jsou nastíněny možnosti budoucího vývoje robotiky ve zmiňované společnosti.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of robotic automation of software processes in a selected company. The thesis is divided into two basic units - theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the description of individual industrial revolutions including the modern phenomenon Industry 4.0 and the definition of robotics. After clarifying the concept of robotic process automation, the ways of identifying of suitable processes for automation, potential benefits, risks, and technologies (including the suppliers) are listed. Furthermore, the basic models for creating software processes are defined. The practical part is focused on identification and analysis of the processes in a selected company. A robotic solution is proposed for a specific process that is preceded by process optimization, among other things, to increase its security. Finally, the solution is evaluated and the possibilities of future robotics development in the mentioned company are outlined.
