Education of mothers about the prevention of vulva synechia in girls

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem bakalářské práce bylo vytvoření přínosného edukačního procesu pro matky dívek v oblasti hygieny a prevence vzniku synechie vulvy. V edukačním procesu bylo u matek dosaženo předání potřebných informací sloužících ke správné péči a nácviku péče. Matky získaly potřebné znalosti, dovednosti a péči o dívky si osvojily. Metodika: Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část je členěna do čtyř kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá teorií edukace a edukačním procesem. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na zásady edukace rodičů novorozenců a kojenců. Třetí kapitola popisuje synechie vulvy, vznik, příznaky, diagnostiku, léčbu a prevenci. Čtvrtá kapitola nesoucí název ošetřovatelská péče, je teoretickým podkladem pro každodenní péči matky o dítě. V praktické části je realizován edukační proces u dvou vybraných matek dívek. Edukace matek proběhla ve dvou edukačních lekcích během poporodního pobytu na oddělení šestinedělí a byla zaměřena převážně na hygienickou péči o dívku a prevenci vzniku synechie vulvy. Výsledek: Na základě vstupního rozhovoru začátkem edukačního procesu, bylo prokázáno, že obě vybrané matky nemají dostatečné znalosti k zvládnutí správné hygienické péče u dívek. V rámci edukační diagnostiky byly u obou matek stanoveny tři totožné diagnózy, cíle edukace se během edukačního procesu podařilo splnit. Stejně tak jako hlavní cíl, byly splněny též cíle dílčí. Plán edukace byl naplněn. Závěr: Je velmi důležité, aby edukace matek započala již během poporodního období, neboť právě matka se celé následující roky bude o své dítě starat. K optimální péči o dítě je potřeba dostačujících dovedností, znalostí a relevantních informací.

Abstract:

Aims: The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to create a beneficial educational process for mothers of girls in the field of hygiene and prevention of the formation of vulva synechia. In the educational process, mothers were provided with the necessary information for proper care and training. Mothers acquired the necessary knowledge, skills, and adopted care for their daughters. Methodology: The bachelor's thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters. The first chapter deals with the theory of education and the educational process. The second chapter focuses on the principles of education for parents of new-borns and infants. The third chapter describes vulva synechia, its formation, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. The fourth chapter, titled "Nursing Care," provides theoretical foundations for the mother's daily care of the child. In the practical part, an educational process was conducted with two selected mothers of girls. The mothers' education took place in two educational lessons during the postpartum stay in the postpartum unit and focused mainly on the hygienic care of the girl and the prevention of vulva synechia. Result: Based on the initial interview at the beginning of the educational process, it was demonstrated that both selected mothers did not have sufficient knowledge to manage proper hygienic care for their daughters. Within the educational diagnosis, three identical diagnoses were established for both mothers, and the educational goals were successfully achieved during the educational process. In addition to the main goal, the sub-goals were also fulfilled. The education plan was implemented successfully. Conclusion: It is essential that mother's education begins during the postpartum period, as the mother will care for her child for the following years. Optimal care for the child requires sufficient skills, knowledge, and relevant information.
