Lamination foils adhesion to electrophotography prints

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce bylo hodnotit kvalitu laminace a adhezi laminační fólie k elektrofotografickým tiskům v závislosti na rychlosti laminace a časovém odstupu od laminace. Práce obsahuje popis použitých potiskovaných substrátů, tiskových barev a tiskových technik. Dále jsou v práci popsány faktory ovlivňující kvalitu laminace a způsoby hodnocení kvality laminace. Pro tuto práci byly vybrány dvě laminační fólie (PKCOO BOPP Thermal Laminating Film a Derprosa Matte Premier), dvě rychlosti laminace (10 m/min a 20 m/min), jedna aplikační teplota (120 C) a jeden tlak (400 kPa). Adheze laminační fólie byla hodnocena Peel testerem. Hodnoceny byly hodnoty hmotnosti potřebné k odtržení laminační fólie v časech 1 hodina, 24 hodin a 14 dní po laminaci. Kvalita laminace po testu rýhování a ohybu byla hodnocena subjektivně v různých časových intervalech. Dále se hodnotila barevná změna jednotlivých tiskovin po laminaci pomocí barvové odchylky, a to hodinu po laminaci a 14 dní po laminaci.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis was to evaluate the quality of lamination and adhesion of lamination film to electrophotographic prints depending on the speed of lamination and the time interval from lamination. The work contains a description of the used printed substrates, printing inks and printing techniques. Furthermore, the work describes the factors influencing the quality of lamination and methods of evaluating the quality of lamination. Two laminating foils (PKCOO BOPP Thermal Laminating Film and Derprosa Matte Premier), two lamination speeds (10 m/min and 20 m/min), one application temperature (120 C) and one pressure (400 kPa) were selected for this work. The adhesion of the laminating film was evaluated by a Peel tester. The weight values required to tear off the laminating film at times of 1 hour, 24 hours and 14 days after lamination were evaluated. The quality of the lamination after the creasing and bending test was evaluated subjectively at different time intervals. Furthermore, the color change of individual printed matter was evaluated by means of color deviation one hour after lamination and 14 days after lamination.
