The usage of systems of alternative and augmentative communication in preschool education

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se skládá ze tří kapitol. První dvě kapitoly jsou teoretické a rozděleny do tří podkapitol. První kapitola se věnuje vývoji dětí se SVP v raném a předškolním věku a klasifikaci, etiologii, diagnostice a terapii narušené komunikační schopnosti. Popisuje také připravenost na povinnou školní docházku. Ve druhé kapitole jsou popsány možnosti vzdělávání dětí se SVP a systémy, typy a možnosti využití alternativní a augmentativní komunikace. Ve třetí kapitole je zaznamenán samotný výzkum, který proběhl v Mateřské škole pro děti se sluchovým postiženým. Výzkumným vzorkem je slyšící chlapec v předškolním věku v pásmu lehkého až středně těžkého mentálního postižení, který není schopný verbální komunikace. Výzkum se zaměřuje na rozvoj chlapcovy komunikace a jeho školní zralost. Zpracování bakalářské práce a výzkumného projektu se realizovalo v teoretické části monografickou procedurou s technikou analýza odborné literatury. Ve výzkumném projektu byla využita metoda kvalitativního výzkumu s technikou polostrukturovaný rozhovor, zúčastněné pozorování, analýza dokumentů a dotazník.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis consists of three chapters. The first and the second chapters are theoretical and divided into three subchapters. The first chapter deals with the early and preschool development of children with special educational needs (SEN) and classification, aetiology, diagnostics, and therapy of impaired speech. This chapter also describes school maturity of such children. The possibilities of education of children with SEN and types of alternative and augmentative communication are described in the second chapter. The third chapter consists of the research itself, which took place at kindergarten for children with hearing impairments. This chapter is focused on a hearing boy with mild to moderate mental impairment who is not capable of verbal communication. The research is focused on development of his speech and his school maturity. The processing of this thesis and the research project were conducted by monographic procedure in the theoretical part by the technique of analysis of specialised literature. The research project was processed by methods of qualitative research with the technique of a semi-structured interview, participative observation, analysis of documents and a questionnaire.
