The Situation of Hotel Industry in the City of Kiev

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na to, jakou měrou ovlivnila pandemie Covid-19 hotelové služby v Kyjevě – to je hlavním cílem práce. Teoretická část práce je věnována problematice hotelových služeb, v souvislosti s cestovním ruchem, dále kvalitě služeb, hotelovému managementu a také tomu, jak jsou hosté spokojeni, což úzce souvisí s jejich loajalitou. Vlastní práce pak obsahuje zhodnocení stavu a dopad pandemie na ubytovací zařízení. K tomuto účelu byla využita sekundární data. Pomocí dvou dotazníkových šetření byla analyzována primární data. Výsledky vypovídají o změnách ve spotřebitelském chování, o postojích k opatřením, která se neustále mění na základě vývoje pandemie a také o preferencích návštěvníků hotelových zařízení v Kyjevě, které také pandemie Covid- 19 ovlivnila. Závěr obsahuje diskusi a návrhy s řešením, která mají dopad pandemie co nejvíce zmírnit a projevit se spokojeností hostů, která povede ke zvýšení návštěvnosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the extent to which the Covid-19 pandemic affected hotel services in Kiev – this is the main goal of the thesis. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the issues of hotel services, in connection with tourism, quality of services, hotel management and how satisfied guests are, which is closely related to their loyalty. The actual work then includes an assessment of the state and the impact of the pandemic on the accommodation facility. Secondary data were used for this purpose. Primary data were analysed using two questionnaire surveys. The results reveal changes in consumer behaviour, attitudes towards measures that are constantly changing as the pandemic develops, and preferences of visitors to hotel facilities in Kiev, which were also affected by the Covid - 19 pandemic. The conclusion contains a discussion and proposals with solutions to mitigate the impact of the pandemic as much as possible and to show guest satisfaction, which will lead to an increase in attendance.
